At the end of the story he flips mona to the ground, he ends up flipping her because he found out that she was using him to get a boyfriend and a kiss and for that he got mad.
This is a key part of the story. I think it is when Sherman finally gives up on Mona. He knew for a while that she had been using him for the wrong reasons, but he thought there was a possibility that she would switch or change her ways. She didnt, so the flip was like the period of their relationship.
